R&D Tax Services R&D Tax Claim

R&D Tax Claim Service

As the leading service provider of R&D Tax Claims, we strive to provide you with a direct access to our team of engineering and finance specialists. The high level of due diligence and attention to detail ensures your claim's risk is correctly managed by allowing only the exact qualifying activities and costs to be claimed for. Our team will do most of the heavy lifting for you, while keeping your team promptly engaged for the essential information we need.

Many of our competitors assert to be able to maximise your claim. We feel this is misleading and gets companies in trouble. Our approach is different - we only help you identify and claim what you should be claiming for and nothing else.

Four Steps to Success

Discovery and Interviews

The first step is to understand the full range of project and business activities your company has undertaken and to earmark the projects which may have R&D and their approximate cost to the business. Follows an indepth interview with your technical team to uncover which project activities are R&D and their details.

Prepare Your R&D Tax Claim

Follows an in-depth report drafting. Here we will ask your technical and finance teams to furnish us with various details to ensure your claim can be substantiated. We often assume the inspector's position, so please be assured that the few extra details we ask for are only intended to safeguard your R&D tax claim.

Sign-off & Submission

We always ask for your final review and sign-off before we make the submission of your report to the HMRC R&D Tax Unit. We will require you to provide us with a letter of authority so we can deal with HMRC on your behalf in relation to your R&D tax claim. We also often liaise with your 64-8 agent (your accountant) to ensure all the small details are handled accurately.

Liaise with HMRC

The HMRC R&D Tax Team can raise questions or requests for additional information. These requests must be promptly answered, which is what we will take care of. Sometimes we may find errors in the way HMRC has processed the claim which we take on te rectify.  We also speak to HMRC on a regular basis to ensure your claim is processed timely and that you are promptly kept up to date.
